On Sunday August 10th, the NEPA Scooter Club will be getting together at the K-Mart in Pittston. There will be a reporter from the Times Leader as well as a Photographer. I went a few Sundays ago and met some of the peeps. There were some very VERY nice scooters. One guy had one of those 3 wheeled Piaggio MP3's. It was interesting to see. It would be nice if as many people as possible could get there. Last time I did not go on the ride with them, however it was nice to just go and see some different scooters.

I will be going Sunday at 1:00. Even if you just come down for the meet and not the ride, it would be cool. I'm not going for the ride, just the meet and greet. Represent the Scranton Scooter Guild. Get those targets out there.

August Scootquest?

Okay, guys, the end of summer is fast approaching and we have yet to have had a chance to get the whole gang together for a big scoot ride. In fact, the Guild has grown so much in this past year (and is still growing) that we've got some folks who have never had the chance to ride together. I'm thinking Sunday, the 24th, but it's just a suggestion. Let me know in the comments below what date(s) you think are best, as well as any ideas for our destination. Let's make this happen!

Scoot Ride

"The Electric City Scooter Club" is having a scoot ride tomorrow. I know Mark said he might check it out. I can't make it. So, if anyone ends up going, let us know how it was.

And when will the Guild have another ride??


"Scooter Ride July 27th

The Scooter Club of NEPA is sponsoring a group ride on July 27th! The ride will be meeting at the K-Mart parking lot on the Pittston by-pass at 1:00pm.
The ride will be a no-highway 50cc friendly ride, so everyone with a scooter needs to get out there!
I'll be there as well as about a half dozen others as of today... hopefully there will be more by the time of the ride. This is the second ride that the scooter club of NEPA is doing.

European Scooters!

Just wanted to share some pictures of scooters that I took on my recent trip to Germany/Austria. Of course scooters were around every corner with the most popular being Vespas. I saw a few strange Yamahas, but no Hondas!
Here is a description of the pictures:
1.) The most bizarre scooter was this BMW seen in Augsburg, Germany.
2.) Just a nice Vespa on a street in Munich.
3.) An old Vespa outside of a restaurant in Bad Tolz, Germany.
4.)A street in Salzburg, Austria.

Patrice had a major smash up last night with a VERY drunk driver. Luckily she is banged up but doing well and nothing broken. The same cannot be said for her scooter, sadly. Patrice, we are all wishing you well and hoping this asshole gets what's coming to him.

Vino country

I live in a town called Port Orange in Florida.

I just wanted to let you guys know its Vino country around here lately.

I see lots of new scooter riders in my town. I've had my Vespa for about 8 years now and can remember when I would go months without seeing another scooter on the road. That may have something to do with the fact that i'm right next to Daytona Beach. Home of Bike week every year.

Lately I love the fact that I see 2 of 3 scooter EVERY day now.

Most are Vino's. I was wondering whats its like up north. Do you guys see my scooters on the road? I know climate down here is a bit nicer for all year round riding.

Can't wait to get my scoot up to see you guys. I would love to do a ride with the Scranton crew.

I'm guessing we could meet at "Scooter Central" i.e. Mike and Sarah's house. What time is good

CAPTAIN FREEDOM!

I give up! me and Pidge had a discussion on how the older man on the blue metro w/ american flag officially hates all other scooters. Not two days later, i see him comin my way, i give a firm fist and a even more solid smile to the man....NOTHIN! I can see him look directly at me. There's no room for mopeass behavior whilest on a scooter! I say we play a classic game of road rash II with this guy!
p.s. the worst part is, today he was REAL tan!
