Weekend Scoot

I drove the Vespa from Lansdale to Scranton on Friday night. I took all back roads, so what would normally be a 2 hr ride ended up taking 4 hrs! It was a beautiful scenic ride with nice smooth roads, but after 3 hrs, riding gets a little painful. On Monday morning, I headed back to Lansdale and attempted the PA turnpike. Even though the scooter is fine reaching the necessary speeds, highway driving is not fun. It felt like I was battling a wind spell the entire way. I don't recommend it.

So, I'm outside today trying to fix my filter for the pool (which was fixed yesterday, then this morning hoses were leaking...it never ends) anyway, i hear my scooter alarm start beeping. i look out and i see two kids probably around the age of 10 or so. one on a bike and this other shirtless scummy kid touching my scooter. i said "HEY" they laughed. i continued fixing the pool thinking they had left. i hear my scoot alarm going insane. look over my scooter is in the middle of the road knocked over and kids riding away on bike laughing. i walk over to see if any damage had been done. pick it up. cracked mirror and scratched to hell. pretty much no pink paint on the front side. i was about to cry. i had it on the big kickstand...so they had to really push it to knock it over. im gunna call geico and see if they can help at all. im never parking my scoot outside the gate again. had to be scumbag kids...who touches a parked scooter and pushes it over for fun?

Another new Scooter Girl!!

Let's welcome the Scranton Scooter Guild's newest member - KELLY!!

Kelly's scooter is a pink, creme, and tan 2007 Venus 50cc. And it came with that sweet matching cargo trunk you see in the photos!

Kelly put a down-payment on this scooter a few months ago and finally picked it up today. And after more than a year of anticipation, Kelly will finally be riding around Scranton in style! Welcome and congrats, Kelly! :o)
